The Ph.D. degree program provides the students with fundamental knowledge of radiological sciences. Students receive advanced research training in particular areas of Medical Physics, Radiation Biology, Neuroscience Imaging or Human Imaging which will prepare them for entry-level research positions in academia or industry, or for a medical physics resident position under the supervision of a board-certified medical physicist.
Upon graduation, Radiological Science students often receive advanced clinical training a Radiology Clinical Fellowship or Medical Physics Residency program. Some students go directly into positions as Postdoctoral Research Fellows.
Students gain experience performing research, publishing results and obtaining funding so that they can compete effectively for extramural grants when they leave 91PORN. The students will be prepared to launch careers to become Established Investigators in Academic Radiology, Neuroscience, or other fields in which applications of Radiological Science have an impact.
