We already know you’ll be in demand when you graduate from this program: 100 percent of our graduates have jobs within six months of graduation.
Our graduates have accepted positions in outpatient clinics, rehabilitation and acute care hospitals, as well as with home health care agencies. Employers regard our graduates highly, because we educate graduates who are generalists. Therefore, our graduates can treat a patient with any problem in any setting.
We help you navigate the job market by providing you with a variety of clinical experiences in a mix of situations so that you can find your best fit.
Students complete ten-week rotations in the acute care hospital setting, rehabilitation setting and the outpatient orthopaedic setting. In this way, students are prepared to work in any setting upon graduation.
The additional four-week specialty rotation allows students an opportunity to gain more practice and knowledge in an area of interest. Students have selected to spend more time working with pediatric patients, people with spinal cord injuries or in the area of international physical therapy.
In total, you will complete 1,360 hours of supervised clinical practice. That is in addition to lab experiences during the on-campus courses, where you will work with real patients.
It is not uncommon for students to be offered a job while on clinical rotations. Feedback from our clinical instructors is that our students’ performance with clinical skills and patient interactions are far and away better than students from other programs.
