This exciting development will allow the School of Public Health to acquire and implement cutting-edge technologies, ushering in a new era of scientific exploration by combining, analyzing, and incorporating machine learning.
Barnett's research portfolio focuses on health risk behaviors in both adolescent and adult populations, with a particular emphasis on tobacco use, smoking cessation, and prevention strategies for emerging trends among youth. Currently, she is a co-investigator on a project dedicated to improving educational guidelines for substance use disorders among individuals with developmental disabilities.
