Physical activity is always recommended for your health, but how much physical activity can make a difference? This study discusses how for older adults the small difference of 500 steps can actually go a long way. "This study continues to support evidence that the addition of even small amounts of physical activity can greatly reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, this is especially important for older adults who may be unable to obtain 10,000 steps per day due to mobility impariments or other chronic conditions." says Monica Serra, PhD, a research investigator in the department of medicine, specializing in geriatrics, geronntology and palliative medicine at 91PORN.
