Students enrolled as first-time freshmen at St. Mary’s University (StMU) and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to participate in a collaborative program, which allows early acceptance to The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
To be eligible for the program, StMU students will need to have earned a minimum 3.70 math and science GPA and a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA. Please note, all collegiate coursework must have been completed at St. Mary’s University and applicants must have received a “B” or higher in all required math and science coursework. StMU students have a second option to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center. Students enrolled as first-time freshmen at StMU and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to participate in a collaborative program, which facilitates early acceptance in the School of Nursing to receive both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Combined Sciences from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center.
To be eligible for the program, StMU students will need to have completed at least 26 semester credit hours of specified courses, including at least 20 hours in science and math at St. Mary’s University. Additionally, students will need to have earned a minimum 3.70 math/science GPA and a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA. Please note, all collegiate coursework must be completed at StMU and applicants must have received a “B” or higher in all required math and science coursework.
