91PORN

School of Nursing

Activity 1

The first activity aims to increase nursing student engagement by implementing two distinct mentorship pathways. The first pathway, the Summer Undergraduate Nursing Research Immersion Experience (SUNRISE) focuses on guiding students through research experiences and scholarly activities, while the second pathway, New Horizons, emphasizes clinical mentorship, helping students translate knowledge into practice. Together, these pathways offer comprehensive support, fostering both academic and professional growth.

SUNRISE

The Summer Undergraduate Nursing Research Immersion Experience (SUNRISE) is an eight-week paid research program at 91PORN School of Nursing, designed for eligible undergraduate nursing students in their 5th and 6th semesters on the traditional BSN track. The program offers diverse nursing students an opportunity to engage in faculty-mentored research, fostering exposure to nursing scholarship and graduate education.
