About me
I'm from the DFW area, specifically from Plano. I decided to go to UT Dallas which is only a 20 minute drive from my parents' house and lived at home all 4 years. I stayed active on campus by joining a sorority (Tri Delta) and I gained most of my clinical experience from scribing in an ER for 3 years (best decision I made). Moving to San Antonio for medical school has been my first time being on my own and I've really enjoyed it so far. Med school is extremely different from college but in some ways it's allowed me to have some experiences that I felt I had missed out on in undergrad. It's been a huge adjustment but finally feels like I'm getting the hang of it!
Hobbies/Interests
Barre/yoga, running, reading (finally getting back into this). Trying to get more into cooking, especially during crazy covid times.
Topics I feel comfortable talking about
Anything! I came into medical school directly from undergrad with no gap year so I could relate well to someone planning to go along the same time line.
What I hope to gain from this experience
I remember how stressful it was as a pre-med and I'd love to give some insight now that I'm on the other side of things and hopefully provide some reassurance.
