PA Week event provided an opportunity to have fun with fellow students

When Hawaiian shirts are in the picture, it's usually a safe bet that fun is about to be had.
About 40 PA studies sported the island-themed attire during an afternoon of fellowship hosted on Oct. 4 by the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. Activities included tug-of-war, a barbecue, a dunk tank, and volleyball.
PA student Caitlin Schwein enjoyed meeting students from the IPAP program.
"We had a great opportunity to support other students who are going through the same things we are," she said. "It was nice to take a break from the classroom and spend some time together celebrating the incredible profession that we are so excited about pursuing."
The event was part of PA Week, held Oct. 6-12 to recognize the profession and its contributions.
