San Antonio Network for Aphasia (SANA)

Do you or your loved one have aphasia? You are not alone.

Aphasia is a common communication disorder affecting an estimated 2 million Americans. Aphasia can occur suddenly (ex. from stroke or brain injury) or gradually over time (ex. primary progressive aphasia).
The purpose of SANA is: 
  1. to offer a supportive in-person community for individuals with aphasia and their loved ones
  2. to provide opportunities to maximize social interaction between individuals with aphasia and between family members.
SANA meets:
  • The first Thursday of the month, 6–7:30 p.m., September–December and February–May
  • Pre-registration is not required
