Dental Early Acceptance (3+4) Program

DEAP, Early acceptance into dental program 

Our degree program with cooperating undergraduate schools allows students to apply credits earned during dental school to college requirements, saving a year’s work while earning both a bachelor’s degree and a dental degree. This program is intended for students coming straight out of high school with academic excellence and a demonstrated interest in dentistry as a career. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or resident aliens, and Texas residents.

Academics

When students complete required courses in dental school, credit will be applied to undergraduate degree requirements. The Bachelor of Science degree is awarded by the undergraduate institution after the 1st or 2nd year of dental school is completed.

How to Apply

Applicants will be considered based on academic achievement, standardized test scores, community activities, socioeconomic history, awards, honors, knowledge of the profession and letters of recommendation.

Clinical Experience

Students will work in clinics during their time in the DEAP program. Each progressive year will result in further clinical experiences in our general dentistry clinics.
